Coin ATM Radar
Bitcoin ATMs work similarly to regular bank ATMs, but instead of withdrawing cash, they allow you to buy Bitcoin. They are not available everywhere, but if you are here, it means there is at least one in your country. It is extremely important to make sure that you have at least one ATM within a reachable distance. We also strongly recommend preparing your Bitcoins before requesting our service to avoid possible problems later (for example: the ATM being broken or unavailable). Even if Coin ATM Radar shows that the ATM exists, it is always better to physically check it first, just in case.
1 Find an ATM
The first thing you must do is confirm that there is at least one Bitcoin ATM in your city or within a reachable area. Remember, you will need to visit the ATM in person with cash. Make sure you have enough time to go there. If this is inconvenient for you, you may want to choose another option that allows online payments.
To search for an ATM, go to: coinatmradar.com
Once on the website, type your home address or your city name into the search bar, or click on "Use my current location".
If you cannot find any ATM near you or within a reachable area, unfortunately you will not be able to use this method. In that case, go back and choose a different way to buy Bitcoin.
If you have found at least one Bitcoin ATM nearby, continue with the next steps.
2 Create a wallet
Before going to the ATM to buy Bitcoin, you must first create a Bitcoin wallet. This is where your Bitcoins will be sent and stored after the purchase.
You can create a Bitcoin wallet in less than one minute by visiting this website: mywallet.sh
Once on the website, follow these simple steps:
- Where it says "Select a currency", make sure that Bitcoin (BTC) is selected.
- This step is optional but recommended: turn on "Save to My Wallets" so your wallet is saved and you do not lose its information.
- Click "Next Step".
- Click "Next Step" again.
- Click "Create Wallet".
That’s it. Your Bitcoin wallet has been created. You will now see two important pieces of information on your screen:
- Bitcoin (BTC) Address – This is your public Bitcoin address. You must give this address to the ATM so it can send your Bitcoins to you.
- Private Key – This is like the password to your wallet. It must be kept completely private. Anyone who has this key can access your Bitcoins.
If you enabled "Save to My Wallets", your wallet will be stored under "My Wallets". You will also see options to back up your wallet by printing it or downloading it as an image or PDF.
Keep these two pieces of information safe. If you lose your wallet details, there is no way to recover them. Treat this information as something very valuable.
When creating your wallet, you will see two QR Codes for your Bitcoin address and your private key. You must print or take a screenshot of your Bitcoin address QR code. At the ATM, you will usually need to scan this QR code instead of typing the long address manually.
3 Buying bitcoin
At this point, you have found a nearby Bitcoin ATM and created your wallet. Now it is time to go to the ATM.
For security reasons, most ATMs do not allow you to type your Bitcoin address manually, because it is long and mistakes are easy to make. That is why you must bring your QR code with you.
Buying Bitcoin at an ATM is simple. Follow the instructions shown on the screen. If the ATM offers multiple cryptocurrencies, select "Bitcoin (BTC)". Then insert your cash payment and scan your Bitcoin address QR code. At the end, the ATM will print a receipt and your Bitcoins will be sent to your wallet.
To check if your Bitcoins arrived, you can use the balance checker below. Paste your Bitcoin address into the box and click "Check Balance".
4 Make the payment
When it is time to pay for our service, you must send us the private key of your Bitcoin wallet. This private key gives access to the Bitcoins stored inside that wallet and allows us to receive the payment.
To send us the private key, simply contact us by clicking here and tell us that your Bitcoin payment is ready in your wallet and that you want to share the private key with us.
Bitcoin wallets are anonymous and disposable. They are not connected to your personal identity and can safely be used only once. By sharing the private key with us, you only give access to the specific Bitcoins inside that one wallet. You are not giving access to anything connected to your identity, bank, or personal information. If you want to buy Bitcoin again in the future, you can simply create a new wallet using the same steps.
