Bitso
Bitso is a well-known Bitcoin exchange platform in Latin America. To buy Bitcoin, you need to create an account and go through an identity verification process. While this is fast and automatic, it is important to complete it in advance and have your bitcoins ready before requesting our services to avoid delays or payment issues.
1 Download the app
Start by downloading and installing the official Bitso app on your phone. You can find it in the iOS or Android store under "Bitso: Save and invest easily", or click on one of the images below:
2 Create an account
Once the app is installed, it’s time to create your account.
Registration is simple and works like any other app. Just follow the on-screen instructions.
After creating your account, you must complete identity verification. You’ll need to take a photo of your ID and a short video of your face. The process is automatic and the app guides you step by step. It usually takes just a few minutes.
Once your identity is verified, your account will be fully ready to use.
Identity verification is a legal requirement. Bitso is registered in Mexico and complies with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing regulations. Your reason for buying Bitcoin remains private and transactions are anonymous. Bitso only verifies that funds come from an account in your name, without affecting your privacy.
3 Add funds
Now that you’ve created your account and verified your identity, you need to add funds to your Bitso account before you can buy Bitcoin.
You will make the deposit in your country's local currency. Bitso is available in several Latin American countries and accepts various payment methods, as follows:
Argentina - Bank Transfer in Argentine Pesos (ARS).
Brazil - PIX and TED Transfer in Reais (BRL).
Colombia - Bank Transfer in Colombian Pesos (COP).
Mexico - SPEI Transfer in Mexican Pesos (MXN).
To make the deposit:
- Open the Bitso app.
- Tap "Deposit".
- Select the payment method you want to use.
- Follow the instructions to complete the payment.
Once the deposit is received, the money will be credited to your account and you can use it to buy Bitcoin.
4 Buy Bitcoin
With funds in your account, you can buy Bitcoin. Follow these steps:
- Open the Bitso app.
- Tap "Buy / Sell".
- Enter the amount you want to exchange for Bitcoin or tap "Max" to use your full balance.
- Select Bitcoin (BTC) as the currency to buy.
- Tap "Continue" and follow the instructions to confirm the purchase.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully bought Bitcoin.
5 Make payment
You can now keep your Bitcoin in Bitso until it’s time to pay for our service.
When it’s time to pay, simply transfer the Bitcoin from Bitso to our Bitcoin address.
If you already have an order with us, you can find our address in the Order Tracking section. If you don’t have an order yet, you can contact us to request our address.
To send the Bitcoin, follow these steps:
- Open the Bitso app.
- Tap "Send".
- Select "Bitcoin".
- Enter the amount to send or tap "Use maximum available" to send your full balance.
- Select "Crypto Address" as the sending method.
- Enter our Bitcoin address.
- Confirm the transaction.
Congratulations! You’ve sent the Bitcoin to our address.
