1 Registration

Through Bitaroo, any Australian citizen or resident can quickly buy Bitcoin using local payment methods.

To start, create a Bitaroo account by following these steps:

1. Go to: bitaroo.com.au
2. Click "Individual" to register as a person (not a business).
3. Complete and submit the registration form.
4. You will receive a confirmation email. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it. Click the confirmation link to activate your account.

After creating your account, you must verify your identity. To do that:

1. Log in to your Bitaroo account.
2. Click "Begin Verification".
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to upload ID and any requested documents.

Once verification is approved, your account will be fully active and you can buy Bitcoin.

Identity verification is required by law. Bitaroo is a registered Australian company (ABN 11 629 701 9539) and must follow anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism laws. No one will ask why you are buying Bitcoin, and your purchase purpose is not shared; however, Bitaroo must confirm the source of funds (that the payment comes from an account in your name). This is a standard legal requirement and does not compromise your privacy.

2 Deposit funds

To buy Bitcoin you must first add Australian Dollars (AUD) to your Bitaroo account. You will then use those dollars to buy Bitcoin.

There are two common ways to deposit dollars:

• PayID (OSKO / NPP) — Recommended because it is almost instant. Some banks may hold a first deposit for up to 24 hours.
• Direct Credit (EFT) — Standard bank transfer, usually takes 1–3 business days.

Bitaroo will only credit your account after they receive the payment. For the fastest experience, choose PayID.

To deposit:

1. Log in to your Bitaroo account.
2. Go to "Account" → "Deposit" or click here.
3. Choose your payment method (PayID or Direct Credit).
4. Copy the deposit details shown, paste them into your bank's payment screen, and send the payment. Note: there is a deposit fee of AUD 1.95 which you must add on top of the amount you want to deposit.

You must send the deposit from an Australian bank account in your name. Transfers from third-party accounts are not accepted.

After Bitaroo receives your payment, your balance will appear in your account and you can proceed to buy Bitcoin.

Since Bitaroo is an Australian company, all values must be indicated in Australian Dollars. However, US Dollars is selected as your currency on our website. To buy Bitcoin for the correct amount, you should change the currency on our website to Australian Dollars. To change the currency, scroll down to the bottom of this page and you will see a list of all supported currencies. There, select Australian Dollars.

3 Buy Bitcoin

Once your account is verified and you have a balance, you can buy Bitcoin. Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Bitaroo account.
2. Go to "Account" → "Buy" or click here.
3. Select "Buy Bitcoin Now".
4. Enter the amount of Australian Dollars you want to exchange for Bitcoin. To use your full balance, click "max".
5. Click "Next".
6. Click "Buy" to confirm the purchase.

That's it. Your Australian Dollars will be exchanged for Bitcoin.

4 Make the payment

You can keep your Bitcoins in Bitaroo until it’s time to pay us. When you are ready, transfer the Bitcoins from your Bitaroo account to our Bitcoin address.

If you already have an order with us, find our Bitcoin address in the Order Tracking area. If you don’t yet have an order and want to pay in advance, contact us and we will provide our Bitcoin address.

Before withdrawing Bitcoin, Bitaroo requires that you enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your account. This adds security and is quick to set up. To enable 2FA:

1. Log in to your Bitaroo account.
2. Go to "Account" → "Security" or click here.
3. Select "Enable Security (2FA)".
4. Choose "Email".
5. Click "Activate 2FA via Email".
6. Enter the 6-digit code you receive by email.

After 2FA is enabled, send the Bitcoin to our address:

1. Go to "Account" → "Withdrawal" or click here.
2. Paste our Bitcoin address into the "Withdrawal Address" field.
3. For "Withdrawal Fee", choose "Priority". (We cover the network fees.)
4. Enter the amount of Bitcoin to send, or click "max" to send your full balance.
5. Click "Confirm Send", check the details, then click "Submit" if everything is correct.
6. Enter the 6-digit code you receive by email.

Congratulations! Your Bitcoins have been sent to our wallet.
